June event endeavors to create a seamless, student-centered transition between high schools, community colleges and the workforce. The California Community College Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) Career and Technical Education (CTE) Division has been charged by the Governor of California to align K-12 CTE with local community colleges. This project is intended to improve education pathways and career-technical awareness for students enrolled in K-12, High School Regional Occupational Programs, and Community Colleges. The CCCCO states, “The community college system is assisting K-12 in building and aligning, as wells as coordinating CTE pathways that lead to postsecondary programs of study to prepare students for high-skill jobs with high wages.”
Harold Penn & Donna Monsen, Accredited Cruise Counselors Norwegian Epic, at 153,000 tons and 4,200 passengers, is Norwegian Cruise Line’s largest and most innovative Freestyle Cruising ship to date, will be christened by legendary entertainer Reba McEntire July 2. The Epic will also be the host venue for the 34th Annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks celebration. She will sail to Miami and begin alternating Eastern/Western Caribbean roundtrip cruises on July 10th.
Tucked against the untouched hills of the Santa Rosa mountain range, historic Old Town Temecula will be the backdrop for the annual Star Spangled 4th of July Parade on the first Sunday of July. Equestrian units, marchers, and floats will travel north on Old Town Front Street from Second Street to Moreno Road. The FREE parade is scheduled to begin promptly at 1 pm. The day’s activities continue with the annual 4th of July Extravaganza at Ronald Reagan Sports Park (2 pm to 10 pm). In Menifee, the fireworks were held on June 26 and everyone enjoyed the brilliant colorful shky!
In Lake Elsinore on July 4 a fireworks display will take place after the game at about 9:00 PM at Storm Stadium – 500 Diamond Dr.
There will also be a free fun zone one hour before the game for the kids. They can run the bases post-game, Kids will announce in the press box and on field, infield drag, bat boy/girl for an inning and a kids fun run from foul pole to foul pole.

This is the time of year millions of women and even a few men become widows. Sports widows that is. There you are, ready to present him with the honey do list on a Saturday. Instead all you see are his eyes fixated on a 42” screen which is blaring out, “ he shoots, he scores!”. Well, I am here to make the yearly season that goes from March Madness to Super Bowl Sunday a little easier and possibly a little more enjoyable for you.
I don’t think our kids know what an apron is. The principal use of Grandma’s apron was to protect the dress underneath because she only had a few. It was also because it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and aprons used less material.
